System overview

Step ladders provide safe and easy access to varying heights including roof areas, service platforms and other elevated areas where frequent access is required. Manufactured to Australian Standard AS/NZS 1657:2018 which ensures a high level of safety and confidence for maintenance personnel.

They can be delivered flat packed to site and are designed to conform to Australian & New Zealand Standard AS/NZS1657:2018.

Substructure requirements

• Angle of slope: 65 degrees

• Support structure integrity, suitability and fixing method to be assessed and determined by a engineer unless it is clear to a competent person prior to installation.

Rating

• Recommended for single person use - 150kg rated

• Industrial rated, suited to high frequency usage

Kattsafe step ladders are designed to conform with requirements of the Australian & New Zealand Standards AS 1657:2018 and relevant codes of practices and guidelines.

Testing

• Testing and performance based on requirements of Australian Standard AS 1657:2018.

• Slip resistance testing to AS4586:2013 (Rating – R11).

Product Warranty

10 years from the date of purchase subject to correct installation. Use and maintenance to be in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and recommendations. (This excludes wearing parts).

Inspection & maintenance

Inspection and certification required every 12 months by competent person in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and requirements of Australian Standards AS1657:2018 and AS/NZS 1891:2009 Section 9.
